Casino supplier Play’n GO have been nominated in two categories at the upcoming 2018 SBC Awards.
The nominations are for Game Developer of the Year and Best Gaming Innovation awards. These are the first nominations for Play’n GO at the SBC Awards and are the latest in a slew of nominations for the provider this year.
The Best Gaming Innovation nomination comes for their musically themed slot House of Doom, released earlier this year, in collaboration with Swedish Metal band Candlemass, and took the novel approach of using music specifically crafted to be part of the game rather than taking the standard IP approach.
The awards themselves, in their fifth year, are described as “rewarding and celebrating the very best in Sports Betting” and will be taking place on the evening of December 4th at The Artillery Garden at the HAC in London.
CEO Johan Törnqvist acknowledged these latest nominations are part of a trend for the company this year:
“This year, more than ever before, we have been nominated multiple times for the innovation and development of our games. We have grown and progressed as a company and this recognition serves to tell us that our progress is both positive and effective.
I’ve always stressed that we aren’t in this business for the awards but, once again, we are appreciative of the acknowledgment”
