Play'n GO announced today that it has obtained the approval of LOTBA, the gaming regulatory body in the City of Buenos Aires, to offer its industry-leading portfolio of games in the emerging Argentine market.
Play'n GO thus becomes one of the first providers to receive authorization from the local regulator in this new market, a milestone that reflects the rapid growth and consolidation of the company in Latin America.
Now, after obtaining accreditation, the provider will be able to supply its world-class casino content to authorized operators in both the City of Buenos Aires — a territory that is home to nearly three million people — and the Province of Buenos Aires — a market with almost 17 million inhabitants—.
Fans of the game will have access to Play'n GO's full catalog of titles, including popular classics such as Legacy of Dead, Contact and Reactoonz, as well as the latest Latin American adventure Cat Wilde in the Eclipse of the Sun God and the epic quest Viking Runecraft.
Sissel Weitzhandler, Director of Risk and Compliance at Play'n GO, said: “Our main objective is to have a presence in all regulated markets, we work diligently and responsibly to achieve this. The speed with which Argentina is moving forward in re-regulating the sector is very positive, and we are committed to supporting the efforts of our partners as they embark on this exciting market.”
LOTBA's approval not only allows Play'n GO to strengthen its presence in Latin America — a vitally important region to which the company has allocated significant resources in recent years — but also ensures that current partners carrier operators can expand to Buenos Aires. This means that Play'n GO partners will be able to continue to offer leading content in this nascent market.
Magnus Olsson, Global Head of Sales and Account Management at Play'n GO, underlined the importance of the new approval – the latest in a long list of international accreditations the company has received – stating: “Latin America is a really important market for us, so it is fantastic to be able to take our content to the almost three million inhabitants of the City of Buenos Aires”.
“However, it's not just about our content. We want to contribute more to the market. Our partners in Buenos Aires can rest assured that they will receive the same level of high-quality service as our clients anywhere else in the world: every game we develop will be certified and available to players on the promised date, without delay or interruptions," he added.
For his part, Cristian Acuña, Sales Manager for Latin America at Play'n GO, remarked that, due to the agility and diligence that the City of Buenos Aires has shown in regulatory matters, there are many operators from South and Central America that They are watching the market closely. "All eyes in the region are on Buenos Aires, but we are confident that our vast and diverse catalog of content will resonate strongly with local gamers," he said.
“Thanks to the experience acquired in Latin America, we know that what players prefer in Argentina is not the same as what they look for in Colombia, Peru or Mexico. That is why operators should not take a one-size-fits-all approach in the region, and neither should we,” he emphasized.
“We work closely with our operator partners in South and Central America to provide the best possible entertainment offerings to their players and with a firm commitment to driving the growth of their businesses. We are truly excited to start this new chapter in Buenos Aires,” concluded Acuña.
