Play’n GO - A successful 2023 in the United States

2024 will be the second time Play’n GO play part in NEXT.io: New York, and the company’s title sponsor position at this year’s show follows on from a highly successful 2023 in North America from the Swedish gaming giant.

Play’n GO began the year with the acquisition of a Connecticut licence in February 2023, and proceeded to keep that momentum up for the rest of the year. Further expansion into West Virginia followed later in the year, as well as new operator agreements.

Play’n GO games are now live with Rush Street Interactive, BetMGM, Pokerstars, and players in West Virginia, New Jersey, and Michigan are able to enjoy Play’n GO’s content.

After a decade of success in Europe, it should come as no surprise that Play’n GO games have proven equally popular in the US. Within a month of going live, the game studio’s leading title Piggy Blitz was the number one game in New Jersey and number two in Michigan when measured against new releases despite, at that stage, being a BetMGM exclusive. The game’s popularity has continued to grow unabatedly, as US players hav followed their European counterparts in latching on to Play’n GO’s uniquely engaging game mechanics and stories. The studio recently announced the exclusive release of Gargantoonz with Rush Street Interactive’s BetRivers brand, and further success is expected from one of the studio’s most recognisable IP’s.

Further to this success, Piggy Blitz has settled in the fourth spot overall in the Top Game Ranks, despite its relatively recent release date, with Raging Rex, another recent release, also making the top 25. Early indications suggest that Megadon: Feeding Frenzy is on a similar path to success in the US, with impressive player numbers and GGR in recent weeks. Such success will be of no surprise to those familiar with Play’n GO games, and US players can look forward to an increased number of available games throughout the course of 2024.

Play’n GO’s core aim has remained the same throughout- to be active in every regulated market in the world. This means continued expansion in the US, both geographically and operator partnerships, with a determination to deliver the best online casino gaming experience to as many players as possible.

The leading game studio broke new ground at the end of 2023 with the announcement of a multi-year sponsorship agreement with MoneyGram Haas F1 Team. For the first time ever, Play’n GO’s logo will be front and centre on the team’s car throughout the season, with the team sporting the logo prominently on their race-gear. This sponsorship bids to increase Play’n GO’s brand awareness in the US and around the world, with the opportunity to sponsor Formula 1’s only US team proving too good to pass up.

This sponsorship commitment is further evidence that Play’n GO’s journey is only beginning, and the company is showing no signs of slowing down the strong momentum that has taken it to where it is today. Expect to hear plenty more from the Swedish gaming behemoth in 2024 and beyond.
