Play’n GO Shortlisted for EGR’s Game of the Year

Play’n GO have been included in the shortlist for the EGR Operator Awards Game of the Year category for this year’s ceremony.

Taking place in the Grosvenor Hotel in London on the 25th October, the awards are described as “The Oscars of the egaming sector”.

This marks the second nomination for Play’n GO in this category in as many years, following last year’s shortlisting.

The category describes the award as recognising “the game studio or operator that has produced the stand-alone game that has made the biggest impact during 2018”, a significant feat in today’s market.

Play’n GO have been listed for the game Sweet Alchemy, a cascading 5-reel gridslot that has grown in popularity since its release in March of this year. An unsurprising choice as Play’n GO are known to be the leading creators of cascading gridslot titles in the gaming market.

CEO Johan Törnqvist spoke on how happy he was with the performance of Sweet Alchemy in the market

“We all know how crowded the gaming market can be, a lot of great titles have been released this year, so it’s an honour for one of our games to be recognised for its impact.

Sweet Alchemy has gone from strength to strength since its release and is a further testament to our strength in creating innovative games like our cascading gridslots, I’m very proud of all the people who worked so hard to make such an entertaining game.”
